The ANZMUSC Clinical Trials Network, established by research leaders with funding from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) for five years (2018-2022), is led by Monash University. The network's vision is to optimize musculoskeletal health through high-quality, collaborative clinical research.

ANZMUSC aims to achieve this vision by:
-
Identifying key clinical research questions that address the most pressing issues in musculoskeletal health.
-
Improving the quality of research through rigorous methodologies and best practices.
-
Increasing the translation of research findings into policy and practice to ensure that evidence-based interventions are implemented in real-world settings.
-
Fostering collaborations among researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and consumers to create a multidisciplinary approach to musculoskeletal health.
-
Endorsing clinical research projects that align with the network's goals and providing valuable feedback during the development of trial protocols.
-
Advancing research through mentoring and education, supporting the next generation of researchers and clinicians in the field.

The network provides opportunities for interest groups to connect across countries and disciplines, especially through scientific meetings, forming a strong and collaborative knowledge base to achieve its mission. ANZMUSC also emphasizes true consumer involvement in research, including co-design of trials, consumer-led research, and proper remuneration.
By addressing key research questions, improving research quality, and fostering collaboration, ANZMUSC aims to make a significant impact on musculoskeletal health and improve outcomes for individuals with musculoskeletal conditions.
